ACOP High Roller Event: Down to Three

The ACOP High Roller Event has indeed rolled along at a rather rapid pace today as we narrow in on the Spadie and the HK$4,086,700 first-place prize.

Once the final table was reached, overnight chip leader Brandon Meyers was the first to go, before James McCarty's elimination in 7th place left us on the money bubble.

Former ACOP Warm-Up champ, and GDAM runner-up, Jeff Rossiter was on the short stack but managed to outlast Russia's Vladimir Troyanovskiy.

With less than nine big blinds in his stack, Troyanovskiy moved all in from the button with [ks][4s] as Predrag Lekovic made the call with [ad][th]. Troyanovskiy was looking for a pair, and he got it, but the [kd][qd][jd] flop wasn't quite what he ordered as Lekovic flopped a Broadway straight and Royal Flush draw. Troyanovskiy would need a miracle but it didn't arrive to send him to the rail empty-handed.

The remaining five players had happily locked up some cash for the efforts, with both the defending champion in Jonathan Karamalikis and the runner-up from last year in Jeff Rossiter, both still alive in the event.

However Australians fans were disappointed to see these two as the next to fall.

Karamalikis lost a flip with pocket threes against Aidan Tam's queen-jack when Tam made a straight, before Rossiter shoved pocket sixes into Senh Ung's pocket eights. It's been an incredible year for the young Australian, but he was unable to add another ACOP title to his blossoming poker resume.

That leaves us with our final three with Senh Ung holding a substantial chip lead with 6.3 million to Aidan Tam's 2.9 million, with Predrag Lekovic on the short-stack with 1.5 million.

Stay tuned as we bring the ACOP High Roller Event home!
