ACOP Main Event: Sunny days for Jung

It seemed like the gruelling heads-up battle between Devan Tang and Sunny Jung in the ACOP Main Event would never come to an end. The two Macau poker heavyweights knew each other's game intimately with every chip, every flop, every decision, crucial to their chances of success.

Early in the day, Tang was down to a 9-to-1 chip disadvantage, yet he was able to claw his way back to take the chip lead. Jung looked a little rattled at times, but he picked off a double barrel bluff by Tang to right the ship and turn up the aggression.

Jung was one of the more aggressive players throughout the final table, and that always troubled his opponents. Jung was able to chip away at Tang to build a little buffer before the final hand went down.

It was probably always going to take a bit of a cooler to separate these two, but it took almost six hours of heads-up play, over two days, before it was finally dealt.

With the blinds at 25,000/50,000, Devan Tang raised the button to 100,000 before Sunny Jung three-bet to 300,000. Tang deliberated before responding with a four-bet to 500,000, but Jung didn't waste any time in giving the triangle sign for the all-in button to put Tang to a decision for his tournament life.

Tang rocked back in his chair before finally committing to the call with [as][qc] only to find Jung had him dominated with [ah][kh].

The board would roll off [4c][9s][3h][2h][th] to give Jung the flush for the exclamation point on a stunning victory.

Tang played tremendously well throughout the tournament, but just ran into a very tough heads-up opponent. He'll pick up HK$3,667,000 for his fine runner-up result.

That wraps things up from the ACOP Main Event, but don't go anywhere as we'll pick up coverage of the ACOP High Roller Event shortly as they are currently on the money bubble with six players left. Also Team PokerStars Pro Celina Lin is down to the final three players in one of the side events. Stay tuned!
