Players can't resist the millions.
The number of entries keeps ticking up and more familiar faces are popping up. Team PokerStars Pro Celina Lin is in the field. Lin took two shots at the Macau Millions yesterday but came up short both times.
While Lin has won multiple Red Dragons, she's still in the hunt for her first Macau Millions Day 2.
Tetsuya Tsuchikawa is another player lacking a Macau Millions cash despite having an impressive track record at the PokerStars LIVE Macau.
Tsuchikawa has won three events at the PokerStars LIVE room and has made more than 10 final tables.
Tsuchikawa has several other cashes, but none in this event.
It's a track record that both Lin and he are hoping to change today.
There are a few players in the field who know what it's like to make it to Day 2. In fact, Iori Yogo felt it early this morning, when he became one of the 10 players to qualify to Day 2.
Yogo is currently the only survivor from yesterday's flight in the field. Yogo survived as the short stack and is now looking to improve on that finish.
Yogo is the only player in the field fighting for HKD $11,000, the rest will receive HKD $8,000 if they make it through the day.
Only one player can take down the millions though. Justin Chan was that person in 2010 and now he's looking to become the first player to take down the Macau Millions twice.
It's still early and players are still about average stack, but that will change quick.
Only 7 percent can survive.
Alexander Villegas has never cashed in any event for the PokerStars Blog.
