2.40pm: Break Time
On one of the final hands before the break, Jessica Ngu was able to four-bet shove preflop and get a fold from Sunny Jung who three -bet Rui Chen's opening raise. With that, the seven remaining players have been sent on a 10-minute break.
2.30pm: Nice One for Yosuke
Yosuke Sekiya has just taken down a nice little pot against three opponents. It started with Jessica Ngu opening it up to 27,000 from under the gun. Rui Chen made the call in the hi-jack seat, along with Sekiya in the big blind.
A [kc][ks][js] flop would see Sekiya and Ngu check and Chen bet 52,000. Jung got out of the way and Sekiya called. On Ngu and she would tank before letting her hand go. Both remaining players checked the [8d] turn and it was on to the [6s] river, where Sekiya would bet 130,000. That was too strong for Chen and Sekiya raked in the chips.

2.15pm: Lisi Snags the Double
Lisi Wei was down to sitting as one of the short stacks, but has since managed to double up to sit with a fairly healthy stack. The hand in question saw Wei shove all in from middle position for exactly 200,000. Sunny Jung was the only player to get involved, making the call from the button.
When Wei turned over her [ad][kh], she would need to catch up against Sunny Jung's [qs][qc]. A [7c][7d][ks], would see Wei go wild, along with her rail of friends. A [6s] on the turn and [9d] on the river changed nothing and Wei scooped up the pot.
2.00pm: Double For the Shorty
Wenlong Jin was under the gun when he opened it up to 25,000. Lisi Wei made the call from the small blind and a [th][7s][3d] flop was spread on the felt. Wei checked here and Jin bet 25,000. Wei opted to then check-raise to 134,000. Jin only had a small amount more than that (137,000 to be precise) and decided now was the time to get all his chips in. Wei flicked out the extra chips and the two players turned their hands.
Jin's [ts][9s] was in good shape against Wei's [8d][7h] and it stayed that way as an [ac] on the turn and a [jh] on the river completed the board.
1.40pm: Level Up, Blinds 6,000-12,000, Ante 1,000
1.35pm: Ryan Hong Eliminated in 8th Place (HK$144,500)
The second player of the day has already been eliminated at the final table of the 2012 MPCC Main Event. This time it was Australia's Ryan Hong who would find the rail. Hong's last hand began with Hong open jamming his [8d][8h] from under the gun. Unluckily for Hong, Yosuke Sekiya would wake up with [tc][td] and would re-shove from the button. The rest of the table was out of the way and with a [2h][9c][qd][4s][6c] board, Hong was sent home in 8th place for a HK$144,500 score.
1.25pm: Chen Can't be Stopped
Lisi Wei opened the action to 21,000 and was promptly three-bet to 81,000 from Rui Chen. Sunny Jung opted to make the call from the cut off and Wei thought for a long time before also making the call.
On the [4c][4d][6d] flop, Wei checked and Chen bet 140,000. Jung made the call and Wei got out of the way as an [ah] was slapped on the turn. This time Chen would check-call a bet of 210,000 from Chen and a [2h] was dealt on the river. This time both players checked and Chen turned over his [ks][kc] - enough to send Jung's cards into the muck and rake in another pot. Following that hand, Chen has over 2,000,000 in chips.
1.25pm: Robert Streatfeild Eliminated in 9th Place (HK$120,500)
Two hands is all it took to lose a player at the final table of the 2012 MPCC Main Event. It all started when Lisi Wei opened it up to 24,000 from early position. Robert Streatfeild was directly on her left and made the call. Rui Chen, the player with the monster stack, then three-bet to 100,000 directly on Streatfeild's left. Back on Wei and she would four-bet to 202,000. Streatfeild opted to shove his remaining 134,000 in the middle. Chen, ever-aggressive, then shoved his seven-figure stack in. Wei got out of the way and the two players turned their hands over.
"Aces!" Streatfeild said as Chen's [ac][ah] was rolled onto the felt. Streatfeild held only [kc][qs] and was in trouble of being eliminated. When the [ad][4c][kh][6c][9s] board was spread along the felt, the news only got worse for Streatfeild as he was sent home in 9th place for a HK$120,500 score. With that, Chen now has 1,750,000.
1.10pm: Final Nine Begins
The final nine players are in their seats, the photos are taken, the chips are out of the bags and the cards are in the air! There is 30 minutes left in the current level (19), with blinds at 5,000-1,000 and with a 1,000-chip ante.
1.05pm: Short Delay for Photos
The final nine players are currently unbagging their chips and having a photo taken! The cards are expected to be in the air shortly.
Nine Will Become One in the 2012 MPCC Main Event
Welcome to the final table of the 2012 Macau Poker Cup Championship in PokerStars Macau poker room at the Grand Waldo Entertainment complex!
Nine players have woken up the morning with the dream of becoming the MPCC champion and taking with them all the glory and the $1,108,500 first-place prize. Who will be the victor? Well, right now it is Rui Chen who is best placed to go all the way, with his 1,325,000-chip stack the grandest of all. Howver, Chen will have stiff competition from the likes of Sunny Jung and Yosuke Sekiya, who both have plenty of chips to scare.
Also still in contention at the final table are Ryan Hong, Kevin Kung, Robert Streatfeild, Jin Wenlong and the two last ladies standing, Jessica Ngu and Lisi Wei. PokerStars Macau has a rich tradition of crowning female champions in their various events and Ngu and Wei are certainly in with a chance to take it down today.
